BACK TO TRAILS
Shelberg Falls Updated: February 24, 2:33 pm

The Shelberg Falls Trails are a maze off old and new trails in BLM and private lands. These trails are directly on the backside of the Silver Creek Falls trails and will hopefully soon have a single track connecting them. They can currently be tied together via back roads. The trails are single track with dirt road climbs to get to them. There is currently no good map of these trails and unless you have tons of time to explore, it is reccommended you ride with the Merry Cranksters who maintain these trails. (merrycranksters.org)

Location:23 miles East of Salem.
Length:Depends on routes chosen.
Type:Cross Country
Difficulty:Moderate climbing and technical.
Current Conditions:

Directions:  Drive East on Hwy 22 out of Salem 23 miles to the city of Mehama. Stop and get beef jerky at the small meat market on the left (North) side of the road, and in the summer, get a blackberry shake at the Ginger Bread House on the right. After your refreshments, 200 feet further is Wagner Road on the left. At this point it gets fairly convoluted and a guide is reccommended. The ranger station a mile further on Hwy 22 on the left (North) side at the North Fork intersection has recently helped build new trails with the help of the Merry Cranksters and local equestrians. They have a small map on the new trails. They have also created a new camping area new the Shelberg Falls themselves.
