We're digging again on mountain bike zone trails within Stub Stewart State Park (Hwy 47 south of Vernonia). working the main canyon single-track right now. "technical skill" feature trails still pending approval (but that's all separate issue from the "plain vanilla" single-track) - this trail we're digging gets us to the proposed push up trail to the skill hill - so even though we're just busting out essentially XC trail, it'll still get used by riders on big bikes heading up to the top of hill to flow down the more advanced trails with features (ideally, some day, when approved).

Have goal to complete 1.5 mile of trail by June. Parks will be putting in a couple of bridges by June and doing some work on maintenance/emergency corridor - then we're hoping it'll get approval to be opened. this is the first "mountain biking only" single-track in an Oregon state park, so it's something to get stoked about for that reason. There's some cool views of the canyon. Here's one taken couple winters ago:
